Tax Analyst/Manager/Director
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Analyst/Manager/Director in the Construction/Contractor industry, located in Troy, Michigan. As part of our team, the selected candidate will play an integral role in managing and overseeing tax-related operations, ensuring compliance with federal and domestic tax laws, and handling a variety of auditing tasks. Responsibilities: • Conduct internal audits regularly to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws • Prepare and review annual corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance • Handle all aspects of domestic tax operations, including planning, research, and risk management • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all tax-related processes and transactions • Monitor changes in tax regulations and legislation to ensure the company's compliance • Collaborate closely with other departments to gather information and resolve tax-related issues • Implement strategies to minimize the organization's tax liability while ensuring compliance with tax laws • Conduct tax research and planning to optimize tax positions and minimize tax risks • Train and mentor junior staff members on tax operations and best practices • Manage relationships with external auditors and tax consultants. Requirements • Proven experience within the Construction/Contractor industry, preferably with a focus on Tax Analysis/Management/Director roles. • Proficiency in auditing, ensuring the accuracy and legality of financial records. • Solid understanding and experience in compliance, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and standards in the industry. • Excellent documentation skills, capable of preparing accurate and complete reports and records. • Experience in handling Annual Tax, including preparation, analysis, and timely filing. • Proficiency in preparing and filing Corporate Tax Returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws. • Depth of knowledge and experience in Domestic Tax, including understanding tax laws, regulations, and best practices in the industry. • Familiarity with Federal Tax laws and regulations, and the ability to accurately apply them in the organization's operations.
