Your Focus:
We are seeking Tax Accountant to join tax team at IFF. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of the Company’s worldwide quarterly tax provision and all aspects related to financial reporting, SOX controls and testing, as well as auditor review.
The Tax Analyst role will report directly to the Sr. Manager - Reporting and will be an integral part in supporting the worldwide tax provision function. This role will sit within the Tax Operations group but will also support leaders of Tax Compliance, Tax Operations and Tax Planning. This is an individual contributor role and is responsible for supporting processes and liaising with external advisors.
This position is based out of the Hyderabad Shared Services Centre.
How you will contribute
US Direct Tax Provision
Assist with the preparation of all aspects of the consolidated income tax provision and related work papers, including disclosures for financial reporting. Coordinate collection and review of quarterly foreign tax packages.Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and support the creation of strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.Maintain effective internal control procedures over all aspects of the tax process to ensure compliance with SOX guidelines.Participate in other projects as necessary in support of M&A activities.Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and technology solutions in the company’s provision operations.Engage with and develop relationships with both internal and external tax resources.Impact on the Business & Team work
Working with team to ensure delivery as per agreed timelinesPublishing performance dashboards and required tax specific reportingDevelop an in-depth knowledge of accounting flows tax frame works to support the processWhat you will need to be successful
Bachelor’s degree required;CPA and/or Masters in Commerce or Accounting a plus.3- 5 years of Public Accounting and/or Industry experience - manufacturing experience preferred.Working knowledge and experience with ASC740 reporting with publicly traded multinational corporation; candidate must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Computer Skills:
Exceptional computer skills with Windows applications (Strong Excel expertise required; experience with Alteryx a plus). Experience with OneSource Tax Provision software a plus.IFF is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
