SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, the Tax Associate works within the tax department and supports
multiple office locations and various departments within Motion. This position maintains
tax information and records by collecting, reviewing, and organizing supporting tax data.
JOB DUTIES
• Reviews customer exemptions certificates to ensure that they are complete and accurate.
• Prepares business licenses and other tax filings.
• Creates and processes AP vouchers for property taxes and business licenses.
• Prepares tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports so that they are
submitted accurately and on time
• Assists the Tax Department with collecting, reviewing and organizing supporting
documentation for tax audits.
• Processes sales tax refund requests.
• Enters data accurately in Excel worksheets to assist in the preparation of workpapers and
schedules.
• Copies, scans, mails and files tax documents.
• Performs routine tax accounting tasks such as reconciliations, journal entries, and data
analysis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and zero (0) to two (2) years
of experience or an equivalent combination.
