Tax ConsultantWhat can you expect?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax Consultant to join the Tax Operations team at a transformational time in both the business and the global tax landscape. The successful candidate will be based in Marsh McLennan’s Warsaw Tax Team and will be involved in supporting the U.S., UK and global tax compliance and operations. The tax consultant will also have the chance to influence and help effect systems and process changes, including those relating to global tax initiatives, such as Pillar 1 and Pillar 2. The tax consultant will be an integral part of the global Tax department and will work closely with other stakeholders.

We will count on you to:Prepare U.S. information tax returns for non-US entities (U.S. Forms 5471, 8858, 8865) as well as state and local tax returns, estimated tax calculations, and related payment requisitions
Assist in preparing the U.S. consolidated tax return, including reporting on non-U.S. branches of U.S. corporations
Assist in the preparation of the consolidated U.S. GAAP based tax provision, including preparing consolidating workpapers and support for book tax entries.
Assist with the preparation of
UK corporate tax returns (CT600s) and tax computations for companies in the UK Group
Forms CT61 in respect of UK withholding on interest expense;
Income Tax Reporting (ASC 740) packages on a quarterly basis for US GAAP, which are reported to MMC Tax in the US for 10-Q and 10-K filings
Help to maintain records of group attributes, such as group loss relief and corporate interest restriction for UK return purposes;
Provide support, as required, with calculating tax true-ups (‘return to provision’ adjustments) to ensure that tax balances held in the primary US GAAP ledger are accurate
Maintain awareness of current and proposed U.S. and UK tax legislation and case law that would impact compliance and reporting activities;
What you need to have:1-3 years in finance or accounting performing corporate tax compliance and provisioning activities;
Knowledge of withholding tax process;
Strong technical skills and ability/desire to develop proficiency in multiple areas of taxation;
Experience with US GAAP reporting and tax accounting (ASC 740) desirable;
Effective communication skills and ability to deal with various stakeholders;
Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
