This is a temporary position, with 1 year of contract and extension to +1 additional year after the first cycle;
This role requires to work on a hybrid environment, going to the offices in São Paulo (Capital) for 2-3 times a week (adjustable).
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tax Coordinator to manage tax planning and compliance in response to new tax rules and requirements, support business needs, and enable new projects. This role is cross functional supporting our local businesses (Human Health and Animal Health) and will be responsible for ensuring the company's tax planning aligns with the latest tax reform requirements. Individual will also be coordinating ERP systems updates while maintaining a high level of compliance within a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, proactive with strong collaboration skills, and be able to thrive in a high-compliance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Project Enablement
Lead the tax enablement process for new projects, assessing tax implications, structuring transactions, and coordinating tax-related resources to ensure compliance with tax reform requirements driven by recent changes in tax laws and regulations.
Collaborate with project teams to integrate the new tax regulation considerations and its requirements into project planning and implementation phases, aligning with ERP system updates and compliance needs.
Tax Planning and Compliance
Monitor the publication of the new domestic tax standards and evaluate their impacts on the company's current operations.
Analyze and communicate properly to internal stakeholders (commercial, sales, finance, trade, operations, logistic etc.) the new tax laws and regulations impact.
Work with internal and external tax advisors to develop and implement effective tax planning strategies that optimize the company's tax position while ensuring compliance with evolving tax reform requirements
Expected to identify alternative scenarios where possible to achieve business objectives as projects progress.
Work on requirements with IT and monitor the implementation of tax new regulation within the company's ERP systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting and compliance.
Business Support
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide tax expertise and support to business units, including assistance in structuring transactions to align with tax reform requirements.
Act as a trusted advisor to business partners, providing proactive tax advice and solutions to support their strategic initiatives while managing tax risks in a changing environment.
Mandatory Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law or related field;
Solid years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and business support;
Languages: Advanced in English, both written and spoken;
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate complex data, being able to apply the excel functions, macros, VBAs, Power BI and/or other low code systems tools;
Knowledge of tax laws and regulations;
Project Management: Participate in cross-functional projects involving tax implications, providing strategic insights and decision-making support;
ERP Systems Integration: Collaborate with IT teams to ensure ERP systems updates align with tax planning requirements and compliance needs.
Differentials:
Experience within the pharma business and/or multinational companies;
Tax One (SAP) previous knowledge.
