To oversee and manage company’s tax compliance, planning, and reporting for both Direct and Indirect tax laws in India.

About The Role:

Income Tax:

Tax Strategy & Compliance: Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's income tax position while ensuring full regulatory compliance.Tax Filing & Documentation: Prepare, review, and maintain accurate income tax returns and records for the company and relevant entities.Audits & Regulatory Liaison: Manage income tax audits, liaise with tax authorities, and coordinate with external advisors as needed.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate income tax risks, ensuring the company adheres to best practices.Legislation Monitoring: Track changes in income tax laws and assess their impact on the company’s financial and operational strategies.Internal Support & Reporting: Provide tax-related advice to the finance team and other departments while preparing periodic reports on tax compliance and liabilities.Management Updates: Regularly update senior management on tax compliance activities, risks, and regulatory developments.

Indirect Tax Compliance:

GST Computation & Payment: Calculate and ensure timely payment of GST, including IGST for cross-border transactions.Return Filing: Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) while ensuring accuracy in sales, purchases, and tax credits.Registration & Compliance: Manage GST registrations, amendments, and adherence to tax laws across business locations.Audits & Assessments: Handle GST audits, assessments, and responses to tax authorities.Input Tax Credit (ITC) Management: Maintain ITC records, ensure proper documentation, and reconcile ITC claims.Process Implementation: Develop and monitor GST compliance processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory changes.Cross-Border Compliance: Oversee GST implications on international transactions, including reverse charge mechanism compliance.Conduct training sessions for internal teams on GST compliance and updates.Exemptions & Refunds: Manage GST exemptions and refund claims related to exports and foreign transactions.Advise management on GST and other tax related matters, including tax planning and optimization strategies.Provide guidance on GST and Income tax (including TDS) implications for new business initiatives and transactions.

Transfer Pricing:

Policy & Strategy: Develop and implement transfer pricing policies in line with local and international regulations.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to transfer pricing laws, including the preparation and filing of Form 3CEB.Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and review Transfer Pricing Study Reports (TPSR) and maintain compliance records for related party transactions.Analysis & Risk Management: Conduct transfer pricing analysis, monitor legislative changes, and assess their impact on the company.Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and transfer pricing experts to ensure full compliance.

TDS (Tax Deducted at Source):

Ensure compliance with TDS regulations, including accurate and timely filing of TDS returns.Oversee TDS deduction and payments, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.Reconcile TDS accounts and manage communication regarding TDS assessments.Provide TDS advice and support to the finance team and other departments.Monitor changes in TDS legislation and assess their impact on the company.Identify and mitigate TDS risks.Maintain accurate TDS records and documentation.

About You:

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the same domain.

You must be a Chartered Accountant and have an educational qualification in Finance.

Excellent communication skills.
