Tax Manager, International Tax

Responsibilities This role is required for PepsiCo to plan for imminent fundamental changes in the US federal tax and the global tax landscape. This role will focus on the day to day construction of a more complex, multi-dimensional US international tax model, which must include the Pillar Two Taxes, the new Corporate Alternative Minimum Tax (effective 2023) and US federal tax law changes (proposed and implemented). The role will work with the Sr. Dir and VP to update the model through continued global legislative developments and business changes. This complex modeling (i.e., quantitative view) is an essential input of the US tax provision, representing an impact of hundreds of millions of dollars annually in cash tax and external reporting. The role will, under the guidance of a Tax Sr. Director, interact with Tax leadership, and with members of Treasury and Control, as well as participate in project management with external advisers. This role requires strong Excel and modeling skills in order to quantify the impact of complex tax legislation. This role requires the ability to upskill for digital knowledge in order to proactively develop a skill set that is uncommon in the market (quantitative skills+ tax legal knowledge). This role would provide project management support to complex multi-jurisdictional internal reorganization projects. Monitor federal income tax legislative developments in the US and major developments internationally. Subject to guidance and direction, assist with modeling impact to PEP of proposed and implemented legislative changes and issued guidance. Subject to guidance and direction, provide updates to the existing GILTI/FDII/FTC models. Coordinate with international tax planners for ad hoc modeling and project management. Execute actions. Subject to guidance and direction, support the build baseline mappng of key data elements from HFM or other existing souce to individual legal entities. Subject to guidance and direction, support the design of controls and processes to maintain the legal entity mappings updated and accurate. Assist in supporting digital repository for legal entity data (Data Gather), strategizing to best leverage this platform for Tax and other functions. Interact with Treasury, Control and ESG reporting on their evolving data needs, working with VP to prioritize PepsiCo’s LE data transformation. Execute actions. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $102,800 - $172,100 based on a full-time schedule. Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications Require Qualifications: Accounting or Finance based degree preferred or equivalent experience. Minimum 4 years either internal, at one of the Big 4 or in a tax role in industry. Strong corporate tax experience. Knowledge of HFM preferable. Fluency in Excel and commitment to upskilling digitally through Alteryx or similar software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; will interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both in and out of Tax. Global acument Preferred Qualifications: Proactive and problem solver as this role will be building a new view of PEP data and pushing for change management. Tax experience with knowledge of legal entities.
