Join our dynamic International Tax group and specialize in providing expert Global Private Client Services, helping high-net-worth individuals navigate complex tax challenges worldwide. 
 

Job Responsibilities   

Take ownership of your own clients who transact business across borders

Perform international tax research and planning for your own clients and other clients of the firm

Work with foreign accounting firms in our international network with their clients who come to the U.S., and with your clients who do business abroad

Mentor younger professionals in our International Tax Group in technical and non-technical areas

Assist partners with new business opportunities and help bring awareness of our international tax capabilities to the SoCal marketplace

Review your clients’ filings and assist in the review of international tax filings for clients of other groups within the firm

Recognize planning opportunities to add value to the engagement (e.g., identify estate planning or transfer pricing opportunities)

Be responsible for the engagement economics (billings, collections, and realization) and work with internal resources to follow up as necessary

  

 Requirements   

​Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline 

Qualified to practice before the IRS (i.e, JD, LLM, CPA, or EA) 

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in US tax consulting/compliance within public accounting

Minimum of 2 years in a managerial role involving clients and team members

Strong knowledge of both US domestic and international tax compliance forms for HNW individuals, passthrough entities, and corporations, with the ability to identify and address potential tax issues.

Familiarity with international tax concepts, including but not limited to Subpart F, GILTI, PFIC, foreign tax credit calculations, income tax treaties, and foreign trust reporting  

Lead tax compliance and consulting engagements with minimal supervision.  

Preferred Qualifications   

Master’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation or LLM with a leaning towards Taxation/International Taxation

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $112,500 - $200,000. For Southern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $115,000 - $190,000. For Washington residents, the compensation range for this position: $115,000-$175,000. For New York residents, the compensation range for this position: $110,000 - $190,000. For Illinois residents, the compensation range for this position: $95,000-$155,000​. For Colorado residents, the compensation range for this position: $95,000-$155,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
