Tax Manager
Noble Corporation is hiring for our office in Georgetown, Guyana for a Tax Manager. This role will be responsible for overseeing the non-income tax obligations for Guyana operations, ensuring full compliance with personal income tax, withholding tax, and VAT requirements. This includes managing calculations, filings, payments, audits, and inquiries while ensuring adherence to legislative requirements. The role also involves managing the Guyana tax calendar, providing guidance on non-income tax matters, and supporting internal teams. Additionally, this role includes assisting the Corporate Tax team by reviewing income tax accruals, providing legislation updates and support with audits. All tasks must be executed with integrity and in alignment with the company’s policies and framework

Key Responsibilities

Manage the personal income tax, withholding tax, and value-added tax (VAT) processes for Guyana operations, including:Calculation of amounts owed.Completion and filing of returns.Coordinating payments before deadlines.Addressing any audits or enquiries from the Guyana Revenue Authority to ensure compliance with legislated requirements.Review accounts payable (AP) payment proposals to confirm which invoices are subject to Guyana withholding tax (WHT).Prepare and manage the Guyana tax calendar to ensure compliance with all deadlines and requirements.Assist Guyana operations/purchasing personnel with any questions related to GL account coding or the applicability of withholding tax (WHT).Provide support for monthly tax professional fee accruals.Work closely with HR to ensure that expat crew work permits can be issued by ensuring the respective employees are fully tax compliant.Work closely with the Senior Manager Regional Finance and other departments (Accounting, Marketing, Operations, Treasury, and Legal) on any issues that may have a material tax impact.Review and approve tax clauses for customer and vendor contracts and communicate any potential issues directly with relevant Marketing and Supply Chain personnel.As needed, work directly with the tax representatives of current and prospective customers to discuss any tax issues concerning current and prospective contracts.Collaborate in the review of Guyana tax filings by identifying potential tax planning opportunities and sharing findings with the Corporate Tax team.Provide assistance during Guyana tax audits by attending meetings with Auditors and preparing relevant data to address audit-related queries.Contribute to the maintenance of the Guyana tax planning and tax structure by supplying updates and feedback as required.Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Masters in Accounting, or Masters in Taxation8+ years of experience including a combination of public accounting, oilfield services industry and Guyana Revenue Authority experience.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.SAP, Hyperion, IFS and OneStream experienced preferred.Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
