Kforce's client, a long standing, well-respected New York City, NY based CPA firm (approximately 35-40 professionals) is seeking a Tax Manager. Responsibilities: * The Tax Manager will provide tax compliance, planning and advisory services to individuals, partnerships, and corporations * Responsible for managing clients and act as primary contact as well as for reviewing tax returns and preparing more complex tax returns including Forms (1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, 1065 and 709) * Responsible for gathering the information necessary for preparing tax returns and reviewing the tax returns assigned before final review by a partner * Proactively recognize needs and issues pertinent to client activity and follow through to implementation * Maintain and strengthen client relationships * Advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and advice * Assume responsibility for supervising, developing, and training tax staff * Review and supervise the tax preparation of various income tax returns * The Tax Manager will represent clients before federal, state, and local tax authorities during examinations of a client's tax return * Respond to tax notices in a clear, concise, and effective manner * Perform research including CCH, BNA, and RIA
