Work You’ll Do
Oversee internal resources and work directly with clients to provide expatriate and foreign-national tax compliance and consulting services to our multi-national clients. Possess the professionalism necessary for the effective diagnosis, solution, and implementation of solutions to client issues. Assist with the preparation and delivery of proposals for engagements and possess a working knowledge of the range of services offered by the organization. Supervise assignments by Tax Consultants and Seniors and provide them with leadership, counseling and career guidance. Address individual income tax issues and tax law, including foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance and the tax equalization process. Assist multinational clients with the development of tax-aligned compensation and benefits programs that address their global and domestic needs. Work with clients to streamline their programs while managing tax effectiveness, risks, and costs. Concur individual income tax returns, conduct US tax law research, review tax consulting projects, and assist in the administration of company tax programs.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent). Three years as a Tax Manager or related occupation gaining experience performing expatriate and foreign national tax compliance and equalization policy implementation. Experience must include three years of: Advising on individual income tax issues pertaining to expatriates and foreign nationals, tax compliance in jurisdictions outside of the US, and the tax equalization process, and applying taxation concepts to social security implications associated with international assignments; Assisting with Internal Revenue Service and state tax examinations, responding to Information Document Requests (IDRs), and drafting memos to analyze and respond to IDRs and various tax notices; Preparing assignment cost analysis, advising on home and host country tax implications, coordinating with relocation vendors and local payroll, and conducting pre-departure orientation and repatriation meetings with clients from a US tax perspective; Utilizing tax research tools, including BNA and CCH, to provide tax compliance and consulting services to global business travelers, and utilizing tax software, including CCH Axcess, to compute taxes, conduct research and integrate with internal tracking tools; Experience must include one year of: Determining foreign countries' tax reporting requirements in relation to U.S. tax law reporting events and applying revenue code sections and income tax treaties to host country tax laws for the expatriate and the inpatriate population; Utilizing Excel macros and Alteryx programming to automate engagement processes; Reviewing tax reimbursements for employees and retirees, including identifying tax issues for permanent residence holders, US citizens, and G-4 visa holders of International Organizations; Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns and tax reconciliation; and Mentoring and coaching junior team members. Salary: $119,292.00 - $223,990.00/year.
