Tax Manager - Corporate
Description We are in search of a Tax Manager - Corporate to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As the Corporate Tax Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate filing of tax returns, researching tax issues, and coordinating tax audits. You will also play a key role in tax planning, compliance, and strategy development, ensuring that we pay the correct and proper amount of tax. Responsibilities: • Oversee the accurate preparation and filing of Federal, State, Local, and other administrative tax returns • Conduct thorough research on tax issues as needed • Ensure prompt and accurate preparation of claims for refund • Coordinate and manage governmental tax audits within established time frames • Oversee daily staffing needs based on workload and upcoming due dates • Manage tax planning, compliance, and strategy to minimize tax liabilities • Review vendor compliance with state and local tax rules • Advise on tax saving strategies and implement tax changes to procedures as directed • Act as the primary point of contact for all tax-related inquiries from all departments • Review large equipment purchases for tax implications. Requirements • The applicant must hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in the role of a Tax Director/Manager or similar position. • Proficiency in Sales & Use Tax is a must-have skill for this role. • The candidate should have significant experience in the Healthcare Industry. • The ability to proficiently handle Tax Reporting is a key requirement for this role. • The candidate must have experience dealing with IRS W-2 Forms. • Familiarity with Form 1099 is a crucial requirement for this job. • The candidate should have an in-depth understanding of Federal Tax. • The candidate must be well-versed with State tax regulations and procedures.
