Tax Paralegal Administrator

How you will create an impact We have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Administrator at the Manager level to join our team supporting the Tax Advisory function of the Tax Department and reporting into the Head of Tax Advisory. We are seeking an individual with highly developed interpersonal and organizational skills who will focus on forms management, administrative efficiencies and process improvements. You will be involved in providing project based support in addition to performing basic administrative duties. Position is located in our downtown office (28 Liberty St. NYC) Specific responsibilities will include: + Serving as Project Manager for certain quarterly processes, such as documenting and transitioning transactions from the Tax Advisory team to AIG’s Tax reporting and compliance teams + Managing and assisting certain annual processes, including the preparation of tax return disclosure statements, US residency certificates and dual consolidated loss calculations. + Researching within AIG systems, including on BluePrint, Sharepoint, Ascent, Fieldglass, Arriba, Concur, Workday and IT Service-Now + Obtaining EINs for newly-formed entities and assisting with the filing of various IRS forms. + Assisting the Tax Advisory Team with correspondence including all forms of mailing and responding to IRS information requests and miscellaneous notices + Completing various tax forms, including withholding tax exemption and FATCA forms + Organization and filing of both paper and electronic documents + Coordination with outside vendors for meetings and billing + Back-up coverage for Tax Administrator supporting the Head of Tax and overall Tax Department, including project management + Constant evaluation of administrative processes in order to make them more efficient + Assist with presentation materials, agendas, and other confidential materials + All other duties as assigned What you’ll need to succeed + 10+ years of relevant Tax experience or administrative support experience for large public companies or equivalent + Associate degree or equivalent type program + Must be proactive with excellent anticipation and problem solving skills + Ability to work under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize and multi-task in a deadline driven environment + Excellent judgment, independent thinker and resourceful + Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information + Demonstrate a sense of urgency for seeking results + Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ready to take your career to the next level? We would love to hear from you. The base salary range is $81,000 - $109,000, and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
