Job Description Help design and implement tax planning/restructuring program. Help Identify tax planning opportunities. Advocates tax regulations by handling BIR investigations and audits. Handle business projects involving consultation/coordination with BIR. Draft position paper on certain tax issues as may be directed by Tax Head. Provides tax advisory by handling specific tax issues raised by Group personnel and/or stockholders, researching proper tax treatment of transactions referred to the team, and addressing tax queries from subscribers and vendorsProposed Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least 7 years of tax experience in a Big 4 accounting firm, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Extensive knowledge of Philippine tax laws, regulations, and procedures, including experience with tax planning, restructuring, and reporting for both domestic and international transactions.
Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to assess complex tax implications and develop effective solutions.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
Proven track record of success in a similar tax planning role, preferably within the technology/telecommunications industry.
Proficiency in tax software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and data analysis tools.
Ability to leverage data analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for tax optimization.
Experience in managing and mentoring a team of tax professionals.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic tax environment and proactively identify emerging tax issues.
