Description + Advise clients on financial issues via email or phone + Analyze budgets and create expense reports + Maintain and update accounting records and files + Meet with clients to discuss confidential accounting issues + Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses) + Reconcile bank statements + Conduct month-end and year-end closures + Prepare documents for audits + Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations + Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders Requirements The ideal candidate will have: + Experience: 1+ years experience with high volume tax preparation and processing. + Certification: Enrolled Agent (EA) is advantageous; CPA is a plus. + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. + Excellent analytical, communication, and customer service skills; attention to detail; ability to work under pressure, especially during tax season. + Strong understanding of tax preparation software and tax laws.
