Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in Conroe, Texas. The role will involve working within a dynamic and busy environment, focusing on preparation of tax returns for a variety of clients including individuals, small businesses, and corporations, and ensuring high standards of customer service and deadlines are met. Responsibilities: • Preparation of tax returns for individuals and businesses • Analyzing trial balances and performing heavy reconciliations • Handling sales and use tax matters • Undertaking cleanup projects and data entry tasks • Utilizing Drake Tax Software and QuickBooks Online for tax preparation and financial management tasks • Ensuring all work is completed in a detail-oriented manner, meeting all necessary deadlines • Maintaining a detail-oriented and friendly demeanor at all times • Utilizing skills in S-Corps, reconciliations, trial balance, and tax. • Managing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer credit records. Requirements • Applicant must hold a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Tax Preparer. • Proficiency in using Drake Tax Software is a plus but not required. • Demonstrated experience in Tax Preparation is required. • Knowledge of S-Corps is highly preferred. • Proficiency in performing reconciliations is necessary. • Proficiency in QuickBooks is an essential requirement.
