Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer/Accountant in the heart of New York. This role primarily focuses on the finance industry, providing a dynamic work environment where daily operations include processing individual tax returns and handling occasional projects as they come up. Responsibilities: • Accurately handle individual tax return preparations • Engage in ad hoc projects as needed • Utilize ProSeries for various accounting operations • Maintain proficiency in Excel for data management tasks • Manage Journal Entries effectively • Oversee the collection of payments from clients • Handle accounts payable and receivable with precision • Undertake data entry tasks to maintain accurate records. Requirements • Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in the role of a Tax Preparer/Accountant. • Proficiency in Journal Entries, crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, is required. • Experience in preparing Individual Tax Returns is necessary. • Competence in Collecting Payments from clients is a must. • Familiarity with ProSeries software for tax preparation is essential. • Comprehensive knowledge of spreadsheet software is necessary for data analysis and report preparation. • Candidates should have experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Strong Data Entry skills are required to ensure accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
