Prepares and maintains tax records, returns, reports and other related materials | Recommends alternative tax treatments to alleviate or reduce tax burden.

 

Major Position Responsibilities Plans and directs all aspects of the tax policies and objectives for the organization, including the preparation and filing of all required tax returns.  Ensures compliance with all federal state, local, and foreign tax regulations while working to minimize tax liability and maximize after-tax profits.  Researches strategies for minimizing future tax liabilities

Basic Qualifications Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 12-15 years' experience or Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or ExperienceCritical professional related technical skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Knowledge, skills & abilities: Organizational Skills. Tax Reporting. Tax Preparation. GAAP Standards. Tax Accounting. Tax Regulations. Accounting Software. Enterprise Tax Software.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Business or Finance degree preferred.

 

Physical Demands:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

 

Travel:

Less than ​​25% likely.
