Tax Supervisor National Veterinary Associates

Overview:NVA is seeking a Tax Supervisor to join our team. Under direct supervision of the Tax Manager, this role will be responsible for the preparation and the review of income tax related work papers and filings. This role will also assist the Director of Tax Technology with various tax technology functions as outlined below. We are looking for someone who takes ownership and pride in their work and who has an open-mind and positive attitude. 
Role & Responsibilities:Review and prepare corporate and partnership federal, state, and local income tax returnsReview and prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and tax return extensionsDevelop, motivate, and train staff level team membersSupervise staff and/or consultants tasked with the preparation of assigned entity tax returns    and projectsLiaise with finance and accounting personnel to collect and analyze financial information for assigned business operationsDevelop an understanding of the business for assigned entitiesAssist with responses to taxing authority inquiriesWork with legal personnel to understand various transactions and their impact to entity structureReconcile tax basis of fixed assets, calculate tax depreciation, and prepare fixed asset rollforwardsProvide tax support to other corporate and operating groupsAssist with various tax projects as assigned relating to tax audits and tax planningPerform data analytics and propose best process/technologyAssist with tax technology functions such as systems design, integration, reporting initiatives and system administration 
Job Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field4+ years of income tax experience in public accountingKnowledge of U.S. Federal and state income tax complianceProficiency with OneSource and Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skillsSelf-directed, detail oriented, problem solver, strong analytical skillsStrong time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks to meet internal and external deadlinesStrong data management skillsAbility to work both independently and within a teamExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Taxation, Accounting or MBACPA

The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000 and is bonus and benefits eligible.
