Tax Supervisor - TG

Job Description

Topgolf is seeking an analytical Tax Supervisor with strong numerical skills to drive our organization's operations and improve performance. This position will supervise two transaction tax staff associates and assist the Tax department leader with transaction tax audit functions and monthly reporting.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, good strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, exceptional numerical proficiency, ability to work unsupervised. 

Responsibilities include:
•    The preparation of monthly and quarterly sales and use tax return support files.
•    Research variances in collections versus tax owed
•    Review and approve returns filed
•    Research rates for pending openings of TG locations
•    Taxability research as needed
•    Prepare monthly Journal Entries to record sales/use tax compliance.
•    Assist in outsourced sales/use tax audits
•    Assist in the preparation of all transaction tax account reconciliations monthly
•    Assist in the accrual and payment of Property taxes (outsourced)
•    Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•    Strong interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, and communication skills 
•    Detail-oriented and ability to adapt to working on multiple tasks with strict deadlines
•    Self-Disciplined and self-starter
•    Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments 
•    Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline preferred
•    Supervisory experience preferred
•    Sales tax experience
