The key responsibilities of the role include:

Assigns tasks to the tax team. Organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activity, and ensures timely and accurate

completion of the work.

Provides input into the performance management process and staffing decisions.

Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and reviews data for more complex income tax returns in compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Prepares team reports, conducts team meetings, and provides training to subordinates.

Responds to internal/external inquiries from auditors, insurance companies, federal and state tax authorities, accountants, attorneys, and partners.

Communicates with partners and/or clients on tax issues.

Skills/Qualifications:
The successful candidate would benefit from having:

3-5 years of related tax experience.

Background and experience in tax, local or international

Experience in either an accounting firm, or BPO or shared services role

Excellent desktop, IT and systems skills

At least 2 years people manager experience

Background in banking or financial institution

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred for all hires)

CPA (preferred)

Knowledge of one or more specific tax areas
