Taxation Specialist
Reporting to the Manager of Tax Operations, the incumbent of the position is primarily responsible for handling transactions within our insurance tax team with various levels of complexity. This role will be collaborating with various individuals within the tax team and internal stakeholders across Manulife. **Position Responsibilities** + Accurately review and process received transactions, including remittances, reports, tax quotes, and inquiries, in a timely manner while supporting year-end tax slip production. + Deliver excellent service to both internal and external clients by responding to inquiries with thorough research and analysis, solving problems efficiently. + Meet daily service level agreements and ensure high accuracy in all processes. + Collaborate with teams across various offices to manage dynamic volumes and maintain service standards. + Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to process improvements to enhance service efficiency. + Work effectively with other departments within Policy Services. **Required Qualifications** + Proficient in Excel (ability to do Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, sorting and handling large amount of data) + Ability to learn new software/system applications quickly + College diploma or relevant work experience + Ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision + Demonstrated decision-making skills + Entrepreneurship, initiative and attention to detail + Strong interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment + Ability to respond positively and constructively to challenges and opportunities + Organizational skills and ability to multitask + Excellent customer service skills + Resilience and sense of adaptation + Solid problem solving and decision-making skills + Self-starter with excellent initiative and attention to detail + Successful experience in working in a fast-paced environment + Consistently responds to challenges and opportunities in a positive and productive manner **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset + Any knowledge of insurance products is an asset + Any knowledge in navigating Mainframe systems is an asset + Consistently meet or exceed productivity, quality and service standard objectives. + Multi-task and prioritize on a daily basis to maintain workload and to address urgent/rush cases. + The versatility to do many different types of work within the business area. + Consistent demonstration of flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment. + Confidently communicate (written or phone) with internal, external clients, sponsors, agents and brokers in a courteous and professional manner + Routinely demonstrate ownership and accountability of all re‐quests in a proactive rather than reactive manner. **_When you join our team:_** + We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want. + We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words. + As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see. \#LI-Hybrid **Tentang Manulife dan John Hancock** Manulife Financial Corporation adalah penyedia layanan keuangan internasional yang membantu memudahkan keputusan dan membuat hidup lebih baik bagi nasabah.
