TB CAREER TRANSITION SPEC ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT PART-TIME

Associate degree in Business Administration or a related area with at least three years of clerical experience and at least one year of experience in an administrative capacity.  Must be confidential and have
• computer skills and knowledge of relevant software
• knowledge of operation of standard office equipment
• knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping &
• knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management

Substitution: Above the high school level one year of college education may be substituted for two years of Job Corps experience or experience in a human services or other employment and training program that serves disadvantaged youth involving administrative support functions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 Effective verbal and written communication skills  Effective organizational skills
 Effective interpersonal skills
 Ability to type 65 cwpm
 Ability to take dictation

Licenses or Certificates:

 A valid Regular Driver License is required.
