Unrestricted license to practice as an independent practitioner in the state where the Job Corps Center is located; Licensed psychiatrist, clinical/counseling psychologist or clinical or psychiatric social worker with a minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed independent practitioner providing assessment and treatment services to adolescents and young adults.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of mental health issues of disadvantaged youth.
• Ability to relate to disadvantaged young adults (16-24 years old) and develop rapport with students and staff.
• Ability to make sound decisions.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
• Ability to write reports, assessments, business correspondence, etc.
• Ability to effectively present information and to respond to questions from management, government representatives, and students.
• Strong assessment skills
Licenses or Certificates:
A valid professional license in the state where the Center is located
Certificate in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
A valid Regular Driver License is required.
