The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Future Generation Joint Venture on behalf of SC Hydro Pty Ltd is currently recruiting for TBM Operator (Pilot) on the Snowy 2.0 Project in the Snowy Monaro region. The project is working a 14:7 roster, 12 hour shifts which may include days/nights rotating.
The successful candidate will:
• Experience with operation of TBM’s controlling cutterheads
• Erection of tunnel lining segments, preparation of segment inspection and installation reports
• Ensure proper alignment and driving during TBM operations
• Operation, daily maintenance and routine servicing of equipment
• Ensure timely progress of work according to schedule and plans
• Required to familiarize themselves with the approved emergency procedures, contingency plans, communication procedures and rescue plans
• Completing shift / daily records
• Responsible for identifying any and all safety hazards and notifying the appropriate persons accordingly
You must currently hold the following tickets/licences:
• Drivers licence
• High risk work licence – Forklift, EWP, DG
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space
• General Construction Induction training (white card)
• Right to work in Australia
• Be able to pass medical and a criminal history check
These positions are in remote challenging areas with extreme cold temperatures which need to be considered before applying for these roles.
