TBS Technical Support Spec (Sr. Data and ETL Engineer)
The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of Data Warehouse framework, ETL and Reporting.   This person is also proficient in scripting and/or other programming languages that facilitate data analysis including methods to cleanse, train and analyze data in real-time. The person needs to be familiar in optimizing report queries using partition and indexing.

Preferred Skills:Experience with writing SQL statements and operational reports against database.Experience in managing system files – CFX, TXT, XML and Other formats.Experience and advanced skill with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, IBM Message Broker.Experience with Autosol Configuration Manager or another Polling Engine (preferred).Experience with SAP BOBJ, Tableau, SSRS (preferred).Experience with Kubernetes platform (preferred)

Primary Duties

1. Participate and/or lead various teams to define, facilitate, perform planning, and/or conduct tasks associated with software installations, upgrades, and patch installations. Also evaluates, implements, monitors, and maintains TBS-related software solutions.

2. Monitors and works with internal and external service providers to ensure system availability to internal networks as well as external and Internet clients.

3. Assist with the development and maintenance of documentation for the TBS related business procedures and processes, including business system strategies, associated operating systems, applications and its associated services. Working with the Training Staff, develop documentation for implementation, testing, and training strategies for TBS related applications.

4. Designs, tests, implements, monitors, and maintains system infrastructure and processes in accordance with department goals to improve workflow and deliver timely, accurate data to various systems and applications with minimal prior-period corrections.

5. Provides operational and technical support for gas measurement practices and procedures, and electronic-gas-measurement hardware and software to Divisions, Workgroups including Field Operations, Gas Measurement Analysts, Shared Services and external contacts.

6. Perform troubleshooting of network, system hardware, software, business process, and application issues on a daily basis. Also troubleshoots system interfaces to and from other systems, including the Internet based applications to ensure internal and external availability is maximized.

7. Assist with definition and coordination as well as work with IT on tasks associated with software installations, necessary upgrades and maintenance of TBS affiliated supported software. Maintains contact with all TBS clients as liaison between supporting internal and external IT services and related organizations. Receives and manages third party application revisions and version upgrades. Oversees testing and implementation of new releases for the business unit.

8. Provides gas measurement data using the measurement data acquisition infrastructure and processes in accordance department goals to improve workflow and deliver timely, accurate, volume data to downstream accounting systems with minimal prior-period corrections.

9. Assist with the development and documentation of business flow processes and procedures needed to properly utilize and maintain the TBS system.

10. Assist with design and implementation of TBS application controls and to ensure database security, database integrity and dependability, and reliability in accordance with business requirements.

11. Review and assist with specification and maintenance for security and data integrity regarding TBS applications to ensure systems are protected from the internal and external communities without appropriate access privileges and are being operated with adequate controls to ensure reliable data access and recovery.

12. Extracts, tests, and delivers ad hoc volume data requests to accounting, contracts, planning, rates, and other groups as required.

13. Performs other related duties as required.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
1.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Accounting, or a closely related field and three years of progressively responsible related experience in natural gas utility operations, gas measurement, transmission, and distribution; or

2. A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and five years of progressively responsible related experience in the utility operations, gas measurement, transmission, and distribution.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide basic types of factual information.

NUMERIC SKILLS:
Requires the ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Requires working knowledge of various business software applications to create documents, reports and/or graphics.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.

WORK CONDITIONS:
Works in an indoor environment.
