The Academic Pharmacy Fellowship position at Touro College of Pharmacy in New York is a 12-month program designed to prepare the pharmacy professional interested in a career in academic pharmacy and seeking an experience in pharmacy education. The academic fellow will work with the fellowship director and faculty to gain experience teaching in various classroom settings, precepting APPE students, and coordinating courses. The fellow will obtain a teaching and leadership certificate in the course of the fellowship. This is a limited term offer.

 

Individuals who have completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency or a PGY-2 specialty residency and are interested in pursuing a career in academia are highly encouraged to apply. Applicants without a PGY-1 residency will be interviewed based on their academic performance and relevant experience. 

Responsibilities

In addition to participating in scholarships and academic research projects, the fellow will also have opportunities to participate in experiential rotations in two practice sites, such as acute care or ambulatory care. The fellow will work with the various academic administrative areas to help design curricula and assess students, didactic lectures, and experiential programs.

Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited College of PharmacyLicensure or eligible for licensure in the State of New York
