Minimum Qualifications Greater Binghamton Psychiatric Center, Children and Youth is recruiting Substitute Teachers for the 2024 – 2025 school year. Substitute Teachers provide classroom coverage and support to the educational instruction provided to individuals with mental illness. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.Teacher 1 – Bachelor’s degree including satisfactory completion of the semester hours required for the teaching specialty.Teacher 2 – Current New York State Education Department initial certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty.Teacher 3 – Current New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty.Teacher 4 - Current New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty and 2 years of post-certification (initial or permanent/professional) teaching experience in that same specialty.
