Uta Halee Academy (UHA) is a female-specific, residential program that offers young women opportunities to build productive and meaningful futures for themselves and their communities. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. The facility features residential student dormitories, on-site schooling, a dining hall, and extracurricular opportunities for the students. Pay: The starting salary is $45,000 for a Bachelor's degree and valid state certification for the grade level and subject taught. The starting salary is $51,000 for a Master's degree from an accredited institution in a field related to the position, along with valid state certification for the grade level and subject taught.

What you will do: The Teacher is a member of the Education Department. Primarily responsible for implementing and adhering to the principles of Positive Organizational Culture and providing instructional services to students. Works collaboratively with staff in a supportive fashion emphasizing a positive attitude toward students, staff and program. Teachers report to the Principal.

To be considered you should: Be at least 21 years of age ~ Possess a current and valid Nebraska teaching credential in English, Math, Science and/or Special Education.~ Bachelor's degree in the Education field from an accredited college or university ~ Have three or more years of successful classroom teaching~ Have related experience working with at-risk youth ages 13-17  ~  Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
