Job Title: Teacher Aide Child Care
Department: Infant / Toddlers
Location: Park Ridge Childcare center
Hours Per Week: 0 Per Diem
Schedule: Monday - Friday 1pm to 6pm

SUMMARY:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists the teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program for all of the children.

Assists in creating an environment that supports children's growth and development.

Develops and maintains a positive relationship with all of the children and their families.

Effectively guides children's behavior in an age appropriate and positive manner.

Constructively participates in staff meetings and meetings with supervisor

Meets the physical, social, cognitive, emotional and cultural needs of individual children.

Attends 15 hours of training every year.
Communicates appropriately with families regarding children's daily activities both verbally and written as needed.
Ensures the safety of the children and promotes good health habits.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

None.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

One year of work experience with small children preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
