The Project SEARCH program is a 10-month employment training initiative designed for young students or seniors in their last year of high school. This sector of the program, located at the Hilton Baltimore BWI business suite, teams with Sheppard Pratt School to prepare its students for competitive employment and a successful adult life.

What to expect.

You will provide direct vocational instruction and training to students, helping them develop essential job search skills, resume writing, interviewing techniques, functional life skills, and other critical skills for workplace success.

Specific responsibilities include:

Working closely with local businesses to establish and schedule internship placements for students. Planning and evaluating vocational development and classroom instruction in skills for employment. Providing and documenting services in compliance with each student’s individualized education plan (IEP) or employment plan (EP).

What we need from you.

Bachelor’s degree. Must possess or demonstrate eligibility for (through application within 30 days of employment) MSDE Initial Professional License in a specific subject area in secondary education or special education. 2 years of experience providing instruction and/or vocational training to students with diverse learning needs.
