Location: New Hartford, NY Category: Child Care Center Posted On: Thu Oct 31 2024 Job Description: Rate of Pay: $16.00 per hour Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm Duties: Assists in maintaining direct supervision, programming, health, and safety of children in classroom assignment at all times. Keep classroom in neat, orderly fashion at all times to minimize safety hazards to all children. Familiarize self with personnel and policy handbook, parent book and health plan book, and the NYSOCFS revised state regulations. Follow confidentiality policy at all times when it comes to children, parents/guardians, staff, and administration. Keep daily attendance record of children in classroom assignment and complete all necessary paperwork such as lesson plans, group enrollment, daily health checks, sign in/out sheets, monthly evaluations, and any other paperwork assigned by supervisor. Provide communication to parents/guardians on a daily basis, making self-available to parents/guardians. Attends staff meetings, as scheduled, attends continuing education/in-service trainings as directed by supervisor. Maintains professional and positive attitude with children, parents, staff, and supervisor. Assists Head Teacher in the developing of theme-related, age appropriate lesson plans. Utilizes available resources in developing and implementing of lesson plans. Assists in snack and meal preparation as assigned by supervisor. Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements: Qualifications: High School Diploma or its equivalent or substantial experience working with children under thirteen (13) years of age. Additional Information: Charles T.
