**Job Description**
+ Teach elementary education/early childhood courses with a culturally responsive approach.
+ Assist with the AS Program Anishinaabe and American Elementary Education program and the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education program planning and curriculum development.
+ Develop/write curriculum embedding MN PELSB and cultural standards throughout the curriculum.
+ Assist with writing RIPA and PERCA for MN PELSB.
+ Be familiar with accreditation processes.
+ Guide elementary education students toward degree completion at the 2- and 4-year levels.
+ Develop a future-oriented focus inclusive of technology and its applications in elementary education.
+ Establish relationships with elementary schools that benefit the program, students, and community.
+ Establish interdisciplinary relationships with faculty colleagues that benefit the program, students, and community.
+ Assess student learning outcomes at the course level and engage in program level assessment of program goals and outcomes.
+ Fulfill teaching assignments across a variety of possible contexts and modes, including day, evening, and weekend, and on-campus, off-campus, online (synchronous, asynchronous, flex and bi-modal).
+ Participate in ongoing professional development and faculty-related institutional activities.
+ Participate in institutional and program planning and student success initiatives.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Master's degree with a major in education
+ Three full-time years (or equivalent) of verified teaching experience at the elementary or secondary level.
+ One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
**Preferred Qualification**
+ Current Minnesota K-6 Elementary Education teaching license.
+ Reading specialist and/or experience in early childhood education
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an ethnically and culturally diverse higher education context.
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a student population encompassing a broad range of skill levels.
+ Demonstrated effectiveness in planning, writing, and public speaking.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of technology as it relates to postsecondary education and ability to work in an online environment.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of language immersion models.
+ Prior teaching experience in a tribal and/or two-year postsecondary institution.
+ Ability to use data to drive program planning and curriculum development.
**Salary Range**
$55,421 - $71,893 Annually
The above salary range is for initial placement only. If currently teaching within Minnesota State, current salary will remain the same.
