Employment Type: Permanent Faculty Vacancy ID: FAC0005493 Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000 Position Summary/Description: This nine-month position will teach an average of nine credit hours per semester in GRAD courses that serve graduate students in the Master of Applied Professional Studies ( MAPS ), the Graduate Certificate in Innovation, Leadership and Management ( GCILM ), and students interested in developing professional skills beyond their discipline. While the majority of the teaching responsibilities will involve established GRAD courses, the faculty member will also have opportunities to collaborate with The Graduate School team and the MAPS steering committee to improve upon the established GRAD courses and to design, implement and assess new courses within the GRAD curriculum. Courses will be delivered primarily through online (synchronous or asynchronous) and/or hybrid modalities. The potential for summer teaching and related duties (e.g., course design) will depend on student demand and available funding. The faculty member will typically hold a secondary or joint appointment with an academic unit elsewhere on campus consistent with their area of expertise. Service opportunities include mentoring and advising students, contributing to the campus community through committee work and collaborative initiatives (e.g., student capstone committees, TA Orientation, departmental committees, university committees) and engaging with and contributing to professional societies. Overall, we expect the role to incorporate approximately 90% teaching duties and 10% service. The initial term of appointment will be one year, with the possibility of renewal contingent on the faculty member’s demonstrated success and Graduate School teaching needs.
