Position Summary:

Assumes responsibility for monitoring adherence to PNHS and Laboratory policies and procedures. Participates in planning, implementing, and directing of programs, procedures and staffing to ensure uninterrupted quality personalized care and service to our customers.

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

Graduate from a baccalaureate degree program in Medical Technology Minimum of five years related experience in a hospital or clinic laboratory. Must be willing to maintain competence through continuing education.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

Must have American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, and electronic medical record.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

Previous experience in a leadership role is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Exhibits a high degree of organization with proven leadership skills in planning and directing work tasks and staff. Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills. Possesses the ability to use professional discretion with patient information.
