Team Lead, People Operations
About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead, People Operations to lead a pod of People Operations Specialists across multiple locations while also serving as the Regional People Operations Specialist for an assigned territory. This dual role combines people management with hands-on regional expertise; it is a player coach role, or to speak in sport terms: a captain on the pitch!

More about Your team

Reporting to the Director of People Operations, you will be responsible for delivering global people operations with consistent execution across regions, coaching your team to excellence, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position may be based anywhere (preferably in one of our core hub locations) and will be part of our global People team, requiring collaboration with US-based headquarters and international colleagues across multiple time zones.

How You’ll make an impact

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Regional People Operations Specialists distributed across multiple global locations Establish clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews for team members Facilitate cross-training, knowledge sharing and best practices across regions while observing local nuances Drive consistent service delivery through standardized processes while allowing for necessary regional adaptations Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and succession planning Serve as functional backup for the Regional People Operations Specialists reporting to you through your assigned pod, providing front-line support to employees and cross-functional partners when team members are absent

Employee Life Cycle Management

Own end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, internal mobility, and global transfers Ensure global consistency in employee experience while adapting processes to meet local requirements and cultural nuances Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, IT, HRBPs, and other business functions to facilitate smooth employee transitions Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and enhance the employee experience

Benefits, Leave, Health & Safety Administration

Administer and manage all jurisdictional benefits and leave processes, including vacation, sick leave, parental leave, and other time-off programs in accordance with regional regulations Oversee regional health & safety programs, ensuring compliance with local requirements Support the standardization of benefits administration globally while advocating for regional/country needs and maintaining flexibility for local nuances Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding country benefits and leave-related questions

HR Compliance & Risk Mitigation

Ensure HR policies and practices align with global governance frameworks while meeting legal requirements for your assigned location(s) Implement and monitor compliance initiatives including pre-employment background checks, local regulatory training, and workforce risk assessments Maintain comprehensive documentation for audit purposes, regulatory reporting, and workforce risk analysis Stay current with changing employment laws and regulations in relevant jurisdictions Prepare and review HR documentation and metrics for regulatory purposes as needed, ensuring transparency while protecting confidential information

HR Service Delivery & SLA Management

Provide first-level HR support to employees through Wrike Request Forms and other established channels for your assigned location(s) Ensure timely response and resolution of employee inquiries according to established service level agreements Act as escalation point for complex issues while maintaining accountability for resolution Lead the development of self-service resources and knowledge base articles

Payroll Input

Record payroll input up to the point of processing, ensuring accurate and timely data entry Partner with the Payroll Accounting team to resolve payroll-related questions and issues Validate and submit payroll changes including new hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, and other employee status changes

Strategic Initiatives

Engage in cross-functional workforce initiatives, ensuring alignment with business scalability goals Contribute to cultural integration efforts across global teams Support data collection and analysis for workforce planning and organizational design Participate in global People Operations projects while representing regional perspectives You will achieve your best if you have 5+ years of HR operations experience in a multinational organization Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws, benefits, and payroll practices across multiple countries Excellent command of English (written and verbal) Experience with HRIS systems and HR service delivery tools (experience with UKG and/or Wrike is a plus) Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills Outstanding problem-solving abilities with strong organizational and project management skills You will stand out with 2+ years of people management experience, preferably leading remote or distributed teams Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Knowledge of global mobility considerations and international assignment management Certification in HR (SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent international certification program) Experience with change management and process improvement methodologies Working knowledge of global data privacy regulations, including GDPR Proficiency in additional languages beyond English Perks of working at Wrike Health insurance for you and your family SIM card with unlimited internet access for employees (provided during your employment) 21 paid vacation days 5 uncertified sick days per year 10 fully-paid continuous working days of sick leave per year School allowance of up to €600 per month (for children at school age) Up to 18 weeks of fully-paid maternity leave 2 weeks of fully paid paternity leave. 2 additional weeks which are provided by Wrike of fully paid paternity leave will be available for employees after 6 months of continuous service
