We are seeking an accomplished **Team** **Lead, Quality Assurance** to join our team in testing and verifying the software that drives the payment processing functionality of our business. These features are utilized by our company channels and organizations, including Homes.com, Costar.com, Apartments.com, and LoopNet.com. You will be leading a team of QA Engineers and collaborating with other departments to ensure effective communication across teams. Your responsibilities will include writing test cases to verify compliance with acceptance criteria developed during sprint planning, conducting thorough product testing prior to each release, and tracking and retesting bugs as they are fixed.
This position is located in our Richmond, VA office and is onsite Monday – Thursday, option to work from home on Friday.
**Responsibilities**
+ Ensures that products conform to business requirements/company policies, software quality standards, and established procedures
+ Manage other QA associates and assist in career growth
+ Designs, documents and implements procedures and techniques that are consistent with departmental SQA Methodology for analyzing, testing, and evaluating the risk (software & business), accuracy, completeness, internal integrity/consistency, testability and overall quality of business systems and SDLC processes
+ Creates and maintains deliverables including test plans, test cases, test data, project test progress and release reports, application turnover documents and test schedules
+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and dealing with change
+ Recommends and assists in corrective actions taken at all stages of product life cycle
+ Ability to prioritize and be proactive in raising risks and potential issues
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree (preferably in information systems, computer science, or related field) from an accredited, not for profit university or college
+ A track record of commitment to prior employers
+ 8+ years industry experience as a software quality assurance test engineer
+ 8+ years of experience with functional testing either manually or via automation tools
+ 2+ years of experience managing direct reports
+ Hands on experience in automation and good understanding of automation testing strategies and tools
+ Comfortable writing software to implement functional automated tests using well known design patterns
+ A basic understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals
+ An understanding of quality assurance testing methodologies, deliverables, processes, strategies, metrics, techniques and the software development life cycle (SDLC) is critical
+ Experience creating and delivery automated test in an Agile environment
+ Experience testing mission-critical relational database applications, and web-based enterprise systems at both the API and UI level
+ Experience with testing/observability/debugging tools including Chrome Debugger, Postman, Fiddler, Kibana
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners)
+ Experience designing and implementing automated tests using: Playwright, CucumberJS, Selenium, Gherkin, and/or Cypress
+ Experience creating functional automated tests in an Agile environment
+ Strong working knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases with relational databases (administration and T-SQL)
+ Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code and TFS/AzureDevOps.
