Team Lead, Software Development Full Stack (Compliance HOS)
Who you are:

Are you a passionate and experienced software development leader with a knack for building scalable compliance solutions? Geotab is seeking a Software Development Team Lead to guide and mentor a team of talented developers in designing, building, and maintaining high-throughput, performance-critical applications.

What you'll do:

Join the Fleet Compliance group to lead and mentor a talented team of software developers dedicated to enhancing driver safety within the trucking industry. You'll guide the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge software solutions using C#, ASP.NET, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres, TypeScript, React, and Redux, while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Your expertise in building scalable and high-performance systems will be crucial as you oversee the creation of mission-critical compliance applications used by over 450k drivers daily. You'll champion code quality through robust testing practices and ensure your team thrives in a fast-paced environment with rapid releases. This role blends the challenge of leading a team with the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the transportation industry. 

How you'll make an impact Manage software development projects; develop and implement efficient, clean code with assigned team that satisfies customer requirements. Manage an Agile software development team with regards to planning, task assignments, work arrangements and other Software Development department expectations. Lead and inspire a team of software developers in a collaborative environment. Architect, design, and implement robust, simplified complex systems that solve customer problems in the compliance space. Utilize a keen eye to detail to ensure that the final product meets regulatory specifications. Champion Agile methodologies and drive process improvements. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives. Foster a culture of code quality, best practices, and continuous learning. Conduct comprehensive testing and code reviews to ensure that code quality is maximized and best-practices are followed. Participate in development of prototypes, minimum viable products and PoCs. Appropriately document system design and architecture such that it is easy to understand, maintain and extend. Provide expert project-leadership and guidance to the team as a SME. Collaborate and support employees during the performance management process, meeting KPAs and career development planning. Support Geotab global strategic initiatives. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotating schedule. What you'll bring to the role 8+ years of Software Development experience. 2+ years in a formal People Leadership role, including performance management and hiring.  Expertise in C#, cloud-based data platforms, and front-end TypeScript development. Strong understanding of front-end technologies (React, JavaScript) and UI/UX design. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Git. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Post-secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role!
