Dialpad’s Sales team drives growth by acquiring new customers and identifying market opportunities. The Very Small Business (VSB) segment focuses on companies with 1-19 employees. As a Team Lead, you will play a critical role in coaching and managing a smaller team of 4-5 Sales Specialists. This position is designed to deliver excellence in lead qualification and conversion strategies, working closely with cross-functional teams to maximize inbound lead performance.
Your RoleAs a Team Lead (VSB), you will focus on guiding a team handling inbound calls/chat from businesses in the 1-19 employee segment. Your primary responsibility will be optimizing team performance to increase Opportunity-to-Close conversions while maintaining exceptional customer experiences. Unlike the VSB Sales Manager, this role emphasizes direct management of a smaller team, with hands-on involvement in daily inbound sales workflows.
This position reports directly to the VSB Leader, with flexibility for remote work and occasional team-building activities.
What You’ll Do Lead a team of 4-5 Inbound Sales Specialists, ensuring they effectively manage inbound leads and deliver high-quality customer interactions. Coach team members on inbound call handling, discovery techniques, and objection management to maximize conversion rates. Monitor and analyze team performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Develop and refine inbound lead qualification processes to enhance efficiency and lead-to-close rates. Collaborate with the VSB Leader and Marketing team to align inbound strategies with broader organizational goals. Foster a collaborative team environment, providing regular feedback, mentorship, and professional development. Prepare and deliver team performance updates and insights to Sales leadership. Skills You’ll Bring Proven leadership skills with at least 1-2 years of experience managing or coaching sales teams. Experience in inbound sales or lead qualification, ideally in the technology or telecommunications sector. Strong analytical skills to assess performance data and inform strategic decisions. Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with sales tools and CRM systems, including Salesforce, Outreach, or similar platforms. Strong digital communication skills with an emphasis on visual and verbal clarity during remote interactions. Able to work US core hours (8AM - 5pm Pacific Time) while 100% on-camera in a dedicated, technically enabled remote workspace that supports team meetings, client interactions and collaborative sessions.
