Assists the Supervisor in directing and coordinating activities of the Line #2 production department(s), in processing materials or manufacturing products in a wood industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
What you will do:
Observes safety rules and enforce safety rules with crew.Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.Maintain clean, safe, orderly work area. Good housekeeping is required.Helps carryout production operation plans, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.Review production orders each morning and check resource material to determine what material may be used for the day’s ordersInspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.Submits worker issues or concerns to Production Supervisor for action.Compiles production data.Coordinates and/or conducts training for work centers. Assures that all training documentation is completed and submitted.What you will need:
At least two years experience in manufacturing settingHS Diploma or GED preferredAble to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screenKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Able to accurately take measurements using a tape measure.Use hand tools, and push carts in a safe and efficient manner.Must have good hand eye coordination and be mechanically adaptable.Ability to lift up to 35lbs.Ability to read, follow, and understand work instructions from both written and verbal sources and basic writing skills.Excellent attendance recordCommitment to your team members, self-motivation, and accountability to safety & quality.Safe Production:
