**Job Title: Team Lead / 3rd Line Technician**
**Location:** Clyde, Scotland - On site
An opportunity is available for a 3rd Line Engineer & Team Lead to build and grow a team of support technicians that can support our customer in the delivery of training systems and the continuation of training for our armed forces personnel.
We are looking for a skilled 3rd line support engineer that has team lead experience to build a new team of 2nd/3rd line technicians. If you are looking build your portfolio this will be the ideal opportunity to grow your IT knowledge and management skills. You would be expected to have good leadership & communication and be able to impart your knowledge to junior team members. To enable this a good level of experience and understanding of IT support is required. You will be working with remote teams based at other sites around the UK and inter team liaison and communication is an important aspect. This opportunity is a customer facing role, liaising with the key customer to provide guidance and support to ensure we are meeting our contractual expectations. You will create processes and instructions for the team to support our customers and corporate partners that will meet our KPI’s/PI’s.
**Your role**
We are looking for a 3rd line support technician to provide technical support and solutions to legacy and future training systems. This position is located at Faslane, Helensburgh and is office based only, there is no remote working from this site due to the nature of support we provide.
Knowledge of military security, Protected Document Register and Joint Service Publication’s (PDR/JSP’s) would be advantageous. The successful applicant may also engage in projects further afield from time to time. You will need to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by clarifying the customers’ needs and ensure they are met whilst working within your agreed support role as defined by your line management. Some of the key tasks and core skills are outlined below but you will also be involved with other work as directed and be expected play your part in contributing to the team’s ability to meet target KPI’s/PI’s (i.e. document reviews / System installation). Experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
**Your experience:**
In addition to leadership experience an understanding of IT support and infrastructure. Good knowledge and experience of the following technologies:
+ NetApp
+ Virtualisation (VMWareV-Sphere)
+ Microsoft Server 2019
+ CISCO / Juniper Network, Switches
+ McAfee
+ ITIL Processes
Desirable:
+ SPLUNK
+ Microsoft Windows 10
+ Active Directory
+ Sharepoint
+ Knowledge of PDR/JSP’s
**Our Hours of support are 0800-1600 per week. There will be no on-call requirement for this role.**
