Job Summary

The Team Leader at Caring Transitions of West Fairfax & South Herndon will play a key role in coordinating and leading a team to execute senior relocation, downsizing, estate sales, and clean-out projects for our customers in Fairfax County, VA. This role requires thoughtful leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure client satisfaction, team efficiency, and operational excellence.
 

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam LeadershipSupervise and guide team members during relocation, downsizing, and estate sale projects.Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to ensure team efficiency and effectiveness.Foster a positive and professional work environment.Project CoordinationPlan and oversee the execution of assigned projects, ensuring timely completion.Delegate tasks appropriately to team members based on their strengths and expertise.Monitor project progress and address challenges proactively.Client InteractionServe as the primary on-site point of contact for clients during projects.Maintain excellent communication with clients to manage expectations and provide updates.Address and resolve client concerns professionally and empathetically.Operations ManagementEnsure all projects adhere to company policies, safety standards, and best practices.Maintain accurate documentation of project details, team performance, and client feedback.Collaborate with the Operations Manager to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.Sales and Growth SupportIdentify potential opportunities for additional services and communicate them to clients.Represent Caring Transitions positively in the community to promote brand recognition and referrals.Required Skills and QualificationsProven leadership experience in a related field (operations, project management, or similar).Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Problem-solving mindset with a high level of initiative.Ability to lift and move items as needed for projects.Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)Experience in senior communities or the moving services industries.Knowledge of downsizing and decluttering best practices.Familiarity with estate sales and/or collectibles is a plus.This is a perfect opportunity for semi-retired/retired individuals (teachers, nurses, law enforcement, military, government) or stay-at-home caregivers looking for flexible and meaningful work in Fairfax County. Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.Comfortable with physical tasks such as packing, organizing, and light moving.Compensation and Benefits$20/hour with potential for performance-based incentives.
