Job Description

GDIT is seeking a Team Lead Firewall Administrator to help support our DLA NETOPS contract. This position is 100% remote but requires the employee to reside in the CONUS.

How the Team Lead Firewall Administrator will make an impact:

Provide overall supervision for vendor employees to include, but not limited to, planning and managing the project professionally, ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources.

Ensuring that accurate and timely reports are provided.

Resolve problems, allocate resources, manage personnel, and monitor operation.

Ensure complete satisfaction performance taking direction from the government.

 Develop the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion.

Develop required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems. Coordinates with the Vendor PM, CORs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:

CLEARANCE: Active Secret

CERTIFICATION(S):

DoD 8570 IAT II Compliant (CompTIA Sec+ CE).

Computing Environment: CheckPoint Certified Security Associates (CCSA) or CheckPoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE) or CheckPoint Security Master (CCSM)

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or higher

YEAR'S EXPERIENCE: 5 yrs experience in telecommunications network design and management.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Working knowledge of Firewall.

Working knowledge and understanding of industry standard network environments to include firewall and security hardware/software.

Working knowledge of Information Assurance Best Practices

In depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations.

Knowledge of industry standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for inputting incident tickets and creating work orders.

Comprehensive knowledge of DoD and DLA security regulations, guidelines and policies, to include, but not limited to, IA standards.

working knowledge of the installation, configuration and day-to-day sustainment of network equipment, to include but not limited to: firewalls and other network appliances.

Comprehensive knowledge of DoD and DLA security regulations, guidelines and policies to include but not limited  to: IA standards.

LOCATION: Remote (must reside in the CONUS though)

EQUIPMENT: Upon onboarding, due to contract logistics, the qualified candidate will need to travel to nearest DLA location to secure required equipment. Expenses will be reimbursed by GDIT.
