Job Responsibilities

Reports to Associate Manager Global Labs Logistics or aboveManages the (Associate) Logistics Coordinator_Proforma including performance evaluations.   Plans appropriate staffing levels to meet business and client needs.  Directs and participates in all aspects of the departmentMaintains and Oversees Proforma Invoices, proforma mailbox, courier contact sheets and courier starter packs.Provides training to new staff members and when new processes are implemented. Point of escalation for calls related to courier issues, performance and logistical issues and escalates to management and/or appropriate department to ensure satisfaction of internal and external customers.  Coordinates and resolves issues/concerns during the study set up processAssist Management with training; quality compliance; SOP reviews and updates.  Actively assists during sponsor audits.  Manages staff, which may include interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, behavioral and technical coaching and mentoring, employee counseling, and separations. Reviews and approves time records, expense reports, requests for leave, and overtime.Lead weekly team meetingsConducts 121 with each staff memberEnter Preclarus enhancements to better improve processesCoordinate the review and action required on custom reportsRequestReviewAction/Follow upAssist in managing Quality Events related to the departmentMay require IATA certificationActs as a back up to the Associate Manager Global Labs Logistics. 

Education and Experience

Preferred degree: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years).Proven leadership skills.
