Being in the forefront
Assistant Manager – HR Operations is responsible for HR Operations / HRIS leadership as well as reporting and analytics for continuous process improvement. The role oversees and manages a team of HR Analysts and ensures timely and accurate resolution of cross functional, complex issues, including employee and manager queries across a range of HR processes.
Key Accountabilities
• Provide continuous strategic recommendations to HR Operations Lead to improve service levels
• Provide technical expertise and ongoing systems support to service consultants
• Manage and direct a team of HR Analysts responsible for query resolution related to core HR processes
• Oversee operational execution, service quality and standards, and financial management of the team
• Ensure adherence to risk, compliance, and data protection standards for across designated process areas
• Manage performance and professional development of HR Analysts on the team
• Track team progress and report to the Group Operations Lead – HR Operations, including escalating issues as needed
• Balance resource allocation to query volume, including analyzing query types and demand / volume to promote efficiency and effectiveness of the process and team resources
• Work with the Group Operations Lead – HR Operations to drive continuous improvement within the team
• Provide routine reporting on volumes, queries, etc. to HR Operations leadership
• Resolve more complex queries escalated by HR Analysts
• Demonstrate high proficiency in HR processes (e.g. Payroll, Data Management, Employee life cycle such as Promotion, Transfer, Contract extension, Title change, Probation & other job change transactions, Career, Benefits, Leaves Management and Termination) and standard operating procedures with ability to resolve complex queries escalated by HR Analysts
• Any other functions/tasks as needed or assigned by the company
Skills and Competencies
• Ability to lead, coach, empower, and advise team members and build large high-performing teams (10+)
• Strong analytics, business, and financial acumen, with the ability to analyze complex data, draw conclusions, and offer recommendations
• Excellent working knowledge of data management best practices and standards
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical resources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passionate about team work and providing excellent customer service through efficient processes
• Understanding of core Payroll, HR processes and HR management practices
• Results focused with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple stakeholders
• Proactive in achieving results and seeking improvements
• Attention to detail and an ability to work towards tight deadlines

Education and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Data Science, or other related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a corporate HR support or client services role supporting US and Canada is preferred
• 1-3 years as a business or HRIS experience
• Professional designation (e.g., SPHR) and/or advanced degree (Masters or above) is preferred
