The **Team Lead II** in the Quality Department at **Caterpillar in Victoria, Texas** assists in coordinating and directing work activities while adhering to Caterpillar’s core values of integrity, excellence, teamwork, commitment, and sustainability. The Team Lead II is a developmental role designed for readying team leads for future management assignments and is responsible for helping the team be successful at meeting safety requirements, as well as quality, velocity, and productivity goals.
**All employees will be required to:**
+ Work directly with Quality Analyst in support of BIQ health
+ Work independently and step in as leader during absence of Section Manager
+ Lead, initiate, support and sustain change as directed
+ Monitor department to ensure employees are working safely at all times and using necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
+ Coordinate and sequence work assignments within the department to ensure a smooth flow and optimum efficiency of production
+ Issue daily instructions and details to employees to satisfy the needs and requirements of the daily build as directed
+ Direct and/or oversee cleanup activities of the department
+ Work with specific employees on nonconformance issues or quality-related matters
+ Assist in monitoring of employees’ job performance and provide input for performance appraisals
+ Assist in the training of employees on processes and procedures
+ Adhere to our core values of integrity, excellence, teamwork, commitment and sustainability
+ Rotate assignments every quarter
**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience leading a team
+ Thorough understanding of production processes and requirements
+ Demonstrates ability to train others and solve problems
+ Proficient computer skills
+ Strong leadership and communication skills
+ Demonstrates adaptability and the ability to learn new processes quickly
+ Ability to positively influence and motivate a team through a strong commitment to Our Values in Action
**Top candidates will have:**
+ Experience as a Team Lead in a manufacturing environment
+ Strong understanding of quality management systems
**Physical Requirements** (with or without reasonable accommodation):
+ Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, and ability to perform repetitive operations Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
+ Ability to climb up and down ladders and use floor creepers, and work on top of machines in process.

+ Shift: 1st Shift - Full Time
+ Hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm, may be required to work overtime
+ **Starting pay rate: $22.70/hr**

**Summary Pay Range:**
$22.70 - $29.50
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
