Nutanix (NTNX) is looking for a motivated and results-oriented Team Lead, Inside Systems Engineering, to manage a team of Presales Systems Engineers as part of the sales organization to achieve revenue targets and ensure customer success. You’ll oversee the development and engagement of Inside Systems Engineers who have responsibility for educating, consulting, assessing, architecting, and proposing Nutanix solutions with technical decision makers across all business segments. You’ll play an integral role in partnering with the Inside Sales Managers, sales, product, and engineering teams to bring the maximum value of our Nutanix solutions to market and manage escalations for our customers and partners.

You will report to the Director of Systems Engineering, who prioritizes mentorship and professional growth within the team. Our work setup is hybrid, requiring the new hire to come into the office three days a week, allowing flexibility while maintaining essential in-person collaboration. As for travel, there are no requirements for this position, as it is an inside role, allowing you to focus on your projects without the demands of travel.
Your Role
Provide active coaching and talent development of iSEs to enable each team member and ensure they meet sales targets and work on skills development goalsWork with Talent Acquisition and the SE Academy to help recruit and hire new iSEs into their respective territoriesSupport iSEs in drafting proposals, preparing complex product specifications, designing custom solutions, and solving complex problemsProvide cross-functional escalation in support of customer/partner satisfactionEstablish and maintain a line of communication across the sales organization to ensure collaborationAssist staff in deal negotiations with end-users and/or channel partners (if applicable)Develop relationships with technical leadership at customers/partners within their respective territory.Deliver roadmap/vision presentations to technical leadership within respective territory.Be able to support technical sales cycle as a player/coach as needed.Responsible for managing team metrics, use skill criteria to hire, develop, and promote team members, and initiate in regular career conversations.
What You Will Bring

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 165,200 and USD $ 247,800 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
