Team Lead - Lead Vascular Tech Outpatient Lab

Job Description:

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the radiologist and/or surgeon, performs duties in assisting the radiologist and/or surgeon in doing a special procedure and executes radiographic procedures.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job:

1. Produces radiographic images on vascular and neurological studies.

2. Prepares equipment for examinations.

3. Assists set up of sterile trays, drugs, opaque media, etc., for the radiologist and/or surgeon.

4. Keep proper numbers and amounts of supplies and equipment on hand.

5. Reports any malfunction of equipment to the Radiology Manager and to the Clinical Engineer.

6. Assists in other areas of department as needed.

7. Participate in call back situation for emergency procedures.

8. Provides input for development discussion and assists in competency checks.

9. Provides leadership and acts as resource person for new procedures, equipment and supplies.

10. Practices universal precautions and utilizes personal protective equipment.

11. Creates weekly work schedule rotation for vascular technologists.

12. Creates call and holiday schedule.

13. Provides support to OR X-ray when vascular/neuro procedure volume is low.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:

A. Graduate of accredited school of Radiology Technology.

B. KBMIRT at time of hire. ARRT within 90 days of hire.

C. Vascular-Interventional Registry is required. Registry eligible candidates are required to obtain registry within one year of employment.

D. Management experience preferred.

E. Must have current BCLS certification within 90 days of hire.
