Team Lead Toolchain Operations (f/m/d) 

 

We are looking for an experienced and talented Team Lead to join our team. As a leader of our Toolchain Operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting and improving the entire software delivery lifecycle tech stack. In this role, you will actively manage and mentor team members, supporting their professional growth. Additionally, you will support and advance modern tools and workflows that enable our development teams to scale our cloud software offerings with high quality and fast release cycles.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Monitor application and infrastructure performance to find bottlenecks and assure system health. Empower tech stack for server and client solutions that improve the organization lifecycles. Empower our software development teams to deliver quality to the customers every day by improving toolchain and processes. Improve tool landscape for efficiency and cost effectiveness. Support product owners in defining epics, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensure these are effectively tracked. Drive documentation standards within the team, ensuring knowledge-sharing processes are efficient and comprehensive. Bridge communication between development, operations, and security teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment. Stay up to date with innovative technologies and drive innovation within the team. Manage external partners. Manage the performance, development, and well-being of the team’s members. Address more complex people management challenges, including performance issues and team dynamics. Adapt leadership styles to fit situational needs of the team member. Conduct performance evaluations and provide actionable feedback to improve team member performance. Value creativity and agility. Organize team-building activities and foster a positive team environment.

 

Requirements and Qualification:

 

BS or MS in computer science or related engineering disciplines. 8+ years leadership experience in areas such as DevOps Engineering, Software Engineering, or System Administration. Knowledge of ITIL and V-Model Process Workflows. Record of accomplishment of successful project delivery and process improvement. Solid experience in managing performance, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive team environment. Deep expertise in cloud computing, containerization, and modern DevSecOps tools. Knowledge of cloud computing fundamentals like IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service). Experience in datacenter solutions. Experience in IT Operations in medical and healthcare businesses as well as experience in cloud software development are major advantages. Proven ability to lead and manage a team, including experience in mentoring and providing constructive feedback. Confident in navigating emerging technologies, not afraid to lead teams into new technical developments. Ability to continuously improve team workflow. Flexible and open-minded person that can adapt the solution to the situation. Ability to foster a culture of growth within the team. Knowledge of methodologies like agile development and TDD/BDD. Experience in team and personal systemic coaching. Proven experience of managing medium and large projects. Able to communicate effectively with cross-functional, multi-lingual teams. Self-organized and self-reliant, but willing to learn and share knowledge. Can tackle complex, ambiguous problems independently, often serving as the go-to person for resolving significant issues. Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across different teams. Fluent in both spoken and written English and German.
