Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, MI is seeking a TEAM LEAD OF PATIENT REGISTRATION to join our team!

General responsibilities include:

Monitors day-to-day activities including pre-registration, insurance eligibility and verification, preauthorization and registration functions for consistency and accuracy.Assures that all reception staff greets, registers and directs patients in a professional mannerResponsible for obtaining and maintaining complete and accurate registration records

HOURS: This position is Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of office standards and procedures normally acquired through a high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredSupervisory experience strongly preferredTwo years of office experience, preferably in a medical facilityCompletion of a medical terminology course preferred.Ability to work a variety of shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.Knowledge of computer skills, chart heading machines and other information system equipment beneficial. Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, under pressure, with time restraints.Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with providers, patients, staff and the public.
